Isabel's E-Portfolio

The project that best showcases my creativity and hard work is the Coat of Arms Project.  In this assignment, we were to create our own coat of arms design that represents our own as well as our families qualities.  For those of you who don’t know, a coat of arms is a design that represents a group of people, usually for many different things.  For examples, medieval kingdoms used their coat of arms on flags, armor, and shields.

One important part of this assignment was our explanation of the symbols that represented us.  For example, I explained that the sickles on my coat of arms represented a faithful harvest of things hoped for.  I thought that this represented my family because we are very hopeful and look up to the future.  Below is the picture of my final coat of arms as well as the essay that explains all of the symbols and colors in depth.
