Supply Drop Challenge

   

    During the egg drop challenge, I was able to be creative and use my engineering skills.  In this assignment, we were trying to keep an egg from cracking when Ms. St. Lawrence threw it in the parking lot.  We had a week to plan, draw, build, and test our products which was not very much time, but we still finished.  Since this challenge was really challenging, only a few eggs survived.  Our's wasn't one.

 

    I worked with Sally and came up with a half hang glider, half parachute like thing. The hang glider and parachute were supposed to work together to slow down the egg.  When we threw our egg up in the air, the parachute got stuck down and the hang glider bent in half.  Our egg spun down with extreme speed then crashed into the pavement.
