Hero's Journey

 

    Percy Jackson is an example of a hero's journey, a story with a hero that saves the day or in many cases the world.  In this project, we had to write our own hero's journey.  It had to include all of the elements which include character in the ordinary world, call to adventure, entering the unknown, and so on.  When all of these elements are put together, they create, an interesting story.

 

    For my hero's journey, I wanted to do a demigod, greek type of story, similar to the awesome series of Percy Jackson.  My main character was named Katie Carter.  She was the daughter of Demeter and had the power to control grasses, vines, and roots.  In my book, Katie Carter and the Moon Bow, Katie and her friends Peter and Fern explore through the Greek world to find the missing moonbow and keep it away from Nemesis.  Read more about Katie by clicking on my book link below.
