My favorite math project this year was "Design a Zoo".  To complete this project you would have to design a zoo with at least 10 animals in it, provide information about the animal's habitat, and calculate the area for each animal exhibit.  Students would have to draw the exhibit on a chart.  Each zoo also must have a ticket booth, food court, walkways, bathrooms, and other structures.   My zoo was called Kool Zoo.  Kool Zoo had crocodiles, chimpanzees, poison dart frogs, komodo dragons, and many more animals.  It also had a gift shop, stage, fountain, petting zoo, two food courts, two bathrooms, etc.  My favorite animal in Kool Zoo was the komodo dragons.

I chose to use this project because it shows my abilities of multiplying, and adding and challenged me to be organized.  To be organized, I used a ruler and spaced everything out evenly.  I used to by math skills to find the area of the exhibits and find out how much room I had left.  This project has helped me become more organized and neat.
